The 192th White Forum

The Evolution of Modern Eastern Europe from a Hierarchical Society to a National State

The different language groups in Eastern Europe constitute different classes: the aristocracy of internationalism (the nature of Europe), the middle class, the peasants of the industry, and the financiers who do not belong. In the process of modern history in Eastern Europe, class struggle, national construction, and ethnic cleansing are inseparable. The lecture will focus on the geographical region between Germany and Russia. From the end of the Middle Ages to the Second World War, we will discuss in depth the evolution of modern Eastern Europe from a hierarchical society to a nation-state.

details of the event
A writer who has not done a forensic doctor is not a good historian.
In this issue of the Bailu Forum, we were fortunate to have invited the "net red" of the cultural circle - a few volumes of the residual, Liu Zhongjing teacher. To optimize the experience of sharing and discussion, Bai Yu will take the form of a small symposium. Different from the one-way output form of common lectures, this event enhances the interest and richness of the topic by sharing the instant interaction between the person and the audience, and deepens the understanding and thinking of the topic. In order to encourage participants to speak freely, this event will not announce the video. If you are interested in history/politics/economy, or have unique insights, please join this event to meet face-to-face with experts and speak freely. In order to enable participants to have a chance to communicate with Teacher Liu, we will limit the number of applicants, seize the opportunity, and sign up soon!

Liu Zhongjing

Liu Zhongjing graduated from Huaxi Medical University in 1996 and worked as a forensic doctor in Xinjiang for more than ten years. In 2012, he obtained a master's degree in world history from Sichuan University. Translated with "British History" (David Hume), "Macquarie British History"; with "From China to China", "An Rand biography: Life and Thought", "The History and History: China World Historical Construction, "The Clues of the Far East: The Input of Western Order and the Evolution of China". Liu Zhongjing's writing style is unique. For example, "The Chronicle of the Republic of China" uses modern Chinese culture to write modern and historical history, and proposes to review the history of the Republic of China from the perspective of constitutionalism. Xu Jilin, a public intellectual and a professor at East China Normal University, commented on this book as “Qi Shu” and praised Liu Zhongjing as “a strange person”. Hong Kong writer Liang Wendao commented that the book was "the most peculiar but most impressive book read in 2013" in his program "Opening the Eight Minutes" and said that the book made his professor friends slap it.
