The other half of the sky - HALF the SKY
“The girls who have been killed worldwide for the past 50 years are more than the men who died in all wars throughout the 20th century. Just because of their gender.”

Under the leadership of the Pulitzer Prize winners Nicholas D. Christopher and Shirley Dunn, who have a wealth of joint reporting experience, we are going to the countries of Asia, Africa and Latin America in this book. A long trip to adventure. There, we saw gender discrimination, sexual violence, negative women's values, domestic violence, virgin plots, etc., so that women are still in the purgatory of the 18th and 19th centuries. We also saw women’s hard struggles and how little help can change their destiny.

Through these stories, the author shows us the survival dilemma of women, the attitude of the whole world to this dilemma, and the power of self-awareness in women. They turned despair into hope and bravely strive for the dignity of life.

This book is based on the story of the characters, accompanied by a large amount of data, is not limited to reports on women's encounters, but also shows social, economic, cultural, psychological and other multi-dimensional thinking. At the same time, this book also provides a practical reference for those who want to do their part for the world. Shocking narrative, informative record, life and life surrounded by sadness and hope. Perhaps you have no food and clothing, but you can't help but pay attention to the hardships of another world. The world is not far away from us.
