Forum speaker:Dr. Peter Lin,Associate Professor In Psychology At St. Joseph's College. He is a licensed Psychologist who Specialized in mood and anxiety disorders, as well as relationship issuesHe received an MS in biostatistics from Columbia University and a Ph.D. in clinical psychology (health emphasis) from Yeshiva University (Ferkauf Graduate School & Albert Einstein College of Medicine).
Dr. Lin's previous training in therapeutic modalities includes experiences in individual and group psychotherapy, both brief and long-term interventions with various political perspectives, including cognitive-behavioral, interpersonal, and psychodynamics. Throughout his clinical trainings, he has worked with young adults, Adults, and elderly who suffered from anxiety, depression, and personality disorders at Beth Israel Medical Center, NYU-Bellevue Hospital, Mount Sinai Medical Center and New York Hospital.
Dr. Lin has great interest in The integration of Eastern Buddhism and Western psychotherapy. He has years of training in Chan (Chinese Zen) practice, and is currently a Dharma teacher-in training at Dharma Drum Mountain Chan LineageHe is also actively involved in disaster relief, and is part of Buddhist Tzu Chi Foundation.
